About Our Man in the Field
I describe myself as a person who loves to travel and discover new places.
Infact I’m happiest when I’m “in the zone”. That roughly translates to “in a foreign country, not speaking the language and almost hopelessly lost”. Which is funny because my desire to explore foreign lands is far greater than my desire to travel around my home country; which in and of itself is one of the most beautiful in the world. I have travelled around NZ but it’s been much longer than I’d like since I’ve road-tripped NZ, the lure of exotic overseas locations is just to great.
I’m also a bit of a geek…infact I’m a whole lot of geek and love tech and gadgets. This extends to online gaming, writing blogs and generally anything internet related – assuming I have the time.
I have an awesome partner and little girl who I love to travel with. That said they don’t really share my passion for tech and gadgets, however without them, I’d be lost somewhere in cyberspace right now.
I love Pro-wrestling (TNA more so than the WWE). I have done since I first saw it on TV when I was about 12. In my opinion there are two types of people in this world. Those who love pro-wrestling and those who are afraid to admit that they love pro-wrestling. Which category do you fall into?
I also like to watch movies and read books and comics. I generally prefer the sci-fi and fantasy genre in all three cases, however as of late I’m really digging my zombie novels and I’m one of the biggest James Bond and Indy Jones fans that you’ll find. My passion for travel came from watching these movies in my formative years.
I write my blog to get the stuff out of my head and into the open…I feel better that way.
